The Fountainhead
by Ayn Rand

Goddamn month long romp into why it's important to think for yourself. Probably the best book I've read in some years.

Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

More like a textbook than a work of fiction. There's some deep shit in here. Some parts of this book are really heavy. I loved it.

The Big U (Reprint)
by Neal Stephenson

The original edition has been out of print since the mid to late '80s.

A hilarious portrayal of a student organized civil war that takes place on a mockup Boston University campus (Affectionately aliased "American Megaversity"). Things start out normally, then various frat-like organizations start causing trouble, and things escalate to ridiculous proportions from there. Various cliques, clubs, and students with a common major band together in - I believe the count was - 9 (don't quote me on that) different groups and factions to fight over the ultimate fate of American Megaversity. Definitely an awesome read.

9.5/10

A poetry collection. Sometimes funny and clever, other times perverse, sometimes all of the above.

As a literary piece: amazing. I totally loved it.
As a cultural lens: absolutely terrifying. I'm scared to watch the news.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of The Dawn Treader
by C.S. Lewis

These are just really great stories, though I am lead to wonder if they're going to have movie-adaptations for all of them, and how potential future audiences will handle the loss of the Pevensie children from the story after this book/movie.

8/10

I can't really say why I enjoyed this so much. The writing is pretty simple, and the story is just as elementary.
There's just something about it. I guess this is just a good example of the fact that something doesn't have to be complex to be good.

A really great story about post-apocalyptic America, 6-shooters, cannibals, and the coast. Definitely recommended.

For one more day
by Mitch Albom

Opinion:
A very quick read. The overall feel of the text was like reading a 200 page mothers day card. Just a little too hallmarky for me.
